C. Team & Driver Conduct
  1) Teams and individual drivers are responsible for their actions at all times while they are in an LFS Pro Series environment, this includes all server & forum activity. Any activity the organisers or admins deem unacceptable will be penalised in a manner they find fitting of the incident.

2) Driver Communications
Any communication which LFS Pro Series considers grossly offensive will be dealt with as the series organisers and admins see fit. This includes (but is not limited to) anything LFS Pro Series believes may cause harm, upset, insult or offence to anyone involved within the series, or has a negative influence on the perception of the series and/or those involved. See section 'F' for possible penalties.

3) Racing accidents
All incidents be dealt with after the races are over. Civilised discussion about events can be done during breaks between races, however if things get heated a warning will be given to stop any arguments, however driver conduct rules will still apply with or without a warning. See section 'F' for possible penalties.

D. Driver/Team Skins
  1) Drivers must use the LFS Pro Series graphics which include windshield visor (where available), series plates, and series logo decals. Such files can be found within the Media section of the Pro Series website.

2) Drivers are kindly asked to display the LFS Pro Series logo in visable locations, however it is not forced, and no penalty will be given for failing to do so.

3) Both Individual Driver & Team Drivers are required to race using a proper race skin, and have permission to use it.
3.1) Teams skins must be easily identifiable/recognisable by their branding, this includes such things as team name or logos.
3.1.1) A teams driver skins should be at least 95% identical, basic identification such as colour stripes is acceptable, entirely different coloured skins is not.
3.1.2) Anyone entering additional (2+) 'Pro Series' teams may use a similar skin for the other team provided they are significantly different to their 1st teams colours and no confusion as to which is which can be caused.

4.1) Drivers who are missing official plates on their skins will receive a 2 place penalty on every race in which the rule is ignored.
4.2) Drivers who are missing windshield visor decals on GTR or NGT class cars will receive a 1 place penalty on every race in which the rule is ignored.

5) A teams backup driver will not need their own skin, they will simply use the skin of the driver they replace. For this reason you may prefer to avoid placing the driver name or similar personalised markings on the skins.

6) The LFSPS Admins retain the right to refuse any skins it feels are unsuitable, and will ask you to provide a suitable alternative. Provided the skins are sensible, there shouldnt be any issues.

F. Booking In
Booking in takes place before every round in LFS Pro Series, the driver is required to confirm that they will be available to race in advance of the round taking place, so that any unavailable drivers can be replaced with suitable candidates.

1.1) The final deadline for teams booking in is 30min before the round starts. Any line-up alterations made after this deadline will incur a qualifying penalty.
1.2) If you wish to add a 3rd/Backup driver to the line-up it must be done at least 1hr before the round starts. Failure to do so will incur a qualifying penalty.

2.1) Drivers who confirm they will attend but fail to show up will receive their 1st warning. A 2nd warning within a season will result in the driver being placed on the waiting list for the remainder of the season, and may impact on their status for the following season. A 3rd warning within a season will see them removed from the season.
2.2) Drivers who fail to confirm their status for over 3 of the 7 races, without prior explanation, will be placed on the waiting list for the remainder of the season, and may impact on their status for the following season.
2.3) A combination of 2.1 & 2.2 will also have the same penalties.

3) The LFS Pro Series website will email the drivers involved in the series during the booking in window being open in order to help remind drivers of the upcoming round, however it is still the responsibility of the drivers (also teammates & team leaders) to ensure they are booked in for the round. The series organisers cannot be held responsible for any reminders you didnt receive.

4) If for some unforseen circumstance, there are issues when trying to book in, immediately contact info@lfsproseries.net with information about the problem, and the issue will be resolved ASAP. This method of communication can be accepted to confirm your booking in status if there are problems, and provided its sent before any important deadlines it wont impact on your ability to take part.

G. Penalties
  1) Warnings will be given where fitting, however penalties such as points deductions, race/round disqualification, or series disqualification may be used with or without prior warning.

2) Penalties will be given on a scale which reflects the incident, and will always be done after the race meeting is over, unless exceptional circumstances force our actions.

3) All penalties will be handed out at the decision of the Organisers and Admins
3.1) Series Admins & Organisers are: Sracer & PaulC2K. Race Admins have the right to overrule any decision they feel necessary, however this will be in extreme cases only.
3.2) Series Officials are: [TBA]. Series Officials are a selection of drivers from different teams to ensure impartial decisions are given.

H. Objections
  1) Objections to penalties will be accepted, provided sufficient evidence or reasoning can be provided. If its simply a matter of disagreeing with the decision, you will probably be wasting our Admins time & patience.
1.1) Series Officials have the right to reject an objection if they feel it is un-warrented, see it as insufficient explanation, or has no impact on the decision they came to. You may be contacted for further information, please be prompt with replies otherwise the decision will be finalised.
1.2) Team Managers & Drivers are expected to submit any objections politely, and offer sufficient information to make it easy to identify the nature of the objection.
1.3) Successful objections will see the penalty overturned or minimised. Unsuccessful objections will have no effect on the penalty. Continual badgering may result in penalties.

I. Qualifying Expectations
  1) During Qualifying drivers are expected to follow specific rules during the session.
1.1) After leaving the pitlane, drivers must not cross the pit line, or join the track into the path of any oncoming traffic.
1.2) While on an outlap, you must not impede the lap of any drivers who are currently on timed laps. You are expected to be well off the racing line and fully aware of any traffic.
1.3) Cars which are in a situation where they are a danger to others must spectate/pit (shift+S or shift+P) immediately, this includes damaged, rolled, and fuel-less cars.
1.4) Where it is deemed necessary, tracks will use object layouts to designate the limits of the track which are acceptable to travel within, and which are unacceptable. You are expected to know whether you hit the object and act accordingly. Any contact with these objects will immediately make your current lap invalid, and if any advantage could be gained for the next lap this is also deemed invalid, and you are expected to abandon the lap by either returning to the pit garage or backing off significantly (~5sec) and ensure no advantage is taken.

2) Any drivers judged to have disregarded rules I1.1 - 1.4 will be penalised after the round in a manner to match the scale of the incident. If you disagree with the decision, you will be expected to prove you acted suitably by way of replay (specificly for unknown contact with layout objects).

J. Racing Expectations
  1) Drivers are expected to drive cleanly and safely at all times, and show respect to other drivers on the track.

2.1) Drivers must make sure any attempts to overtake another driver are done carefully and room is available for both drivers to remain on the track and not be boxed in or ran off the course. Acceptable surface includes run-off strips and similar surface which would be used as a racing line.
2.2) Any driver with a 50% overlap is intitled to room as stated in rule 2.1. Dives & late braking moves in order to obtain an 50% overlap in an unsafe manner will NOT be accepted as safe manouvers.
2.3) Drivers can change racing line once to defend a position, and must then stick with that line. This includes persistent weaving in order to stop the following driver from entering your slipstream. Pick a line, and stick to it!
2.4) While side-by-side, you are to race cleanly and avoid contact. You cannot attempt to force someone from one side of the track to the other (either with contact or the threat of contact), however if there is room to move into, then you may move to occupy it.

3) Drivers are expected to be fully aware of all drivers around them, and show sufficient driver awareness to ensure a clean race for all involved.

K. General Rules
  1) Acceptable racing areas include the tarmac/asphalt and curbs, it does not include grass, gravel, speed bumps or run-off areas. A driver must keep at least 2 wheels within the acceptable racing area at all times.
1.1) Any significant advantage gained, ie places or >0.2sec time without the driver relinquishing that gain, safely & sufficently, will result in a penalty.
1.2) Continously leaving the racing area to gain an advantage, no matter how significant, without showing regular signs of intent to take an acceptable line, will result in penalty. Mistakes are understandable, the intent to gain by cutting isnt.
1.3) Cutting a corner to avoid any obsticals on the race track is acceptable provided it is done honestly and without intent to gain advantage from it. Any advantage gained purely by taking avoiding action, particularly places, should be relinquished within half a lap.
1.4) Cutting to avoid a trackside object due to driver error will be reviewed to ensure no safe alternative option was available instead. If its possible for a driver to reduce speed and return to the track safely, they are expected to do so, even if that means coming to a halt, you are not expected to take advantage of a shortcut in an attempt to reduce time already lost by the driver error.

2) If you have damage, you are still expected to drive safely, any incidents which occure due to the state of your car will be treated more severly due to carelessness/bad judgement.

3.1) In the event of an accident, you are expected to return to racing in a safe manner which causes no danger to other drivers, including those involved in the incident.
3.2) If you are stuck in gravel or similar, you can attempt to rejoin the track. You are not obliged to spectate, however you are obliged to recover in a manner that is of no danger to oncoming traffic.
3.3) When rejoining the track, you do not have the right of way and have no right to defend a position. You may return to the racing line provided it is done safely, however you have no right to block a move until you are upto normal racing speed and are in a suitable condition to do so (see secton K2).
3.4) If your car has rolled over and is located on the race track or close to the racing line, you must immediately spectate the race. Failure to do so within an acceptable timeframe for the location may result in a penalty, especially if it results in further accidents.

4) Drivers are expected to obay course flags
4.1) When a yellow flag is displayed the driver is to drive with caution and not cause further incidents, you must be prepared to come to a complete stop if need be. Any additional accidents caused by failing to act suitably in a yellow flag situation may be penalised.
4.2) If you receive a blue flag, you are expected to allow the lapping car the opportunity to easily pass you at the first suitable occasion. You shall not attempt to overtake the car unless they have made a significant mistake and it is safe to continue past them without being in their way again. If you wish to move off the racing line to allow a clean pass, do so well in advance so the lapping driver is aware of your intentions.

5) No chatting is allowed once the race has started till all the cars have crossed the finish line. See section 'C' for acceptable chat.

6) There will be no joining the race after a Shift+P, Shift+S, or disconnection. Drivers failing to follow this rule and leaving the pits area will be disqualified from the round.

7) Drivers will be expected to complete the entire race in order to score points.
7.1) Parking the car for a significant length of time (1min+) will result in a DNF.
7.2) Drivers who run out of fuel on their last lap will still score, but will be manually added to the results shortly after the race.

8) There is to be no assistance to another driver during any official session, this includes: bump-drafting (3 bumps or more), helping an upturned/disabled car, pushing a car who otherwise wouldnt finish or make it to the pitlane, or any other form of advantage where one driver is assisted by another, regardless of any honest intention for the actions.

M. Server Crash

1) In the unfortuate event of a server crash, a decision based on the time passed and the stability of the server will decide whether to continue.
1.1) If the server crash takes place within the first 15min of the feature race or first 5 min of the race, the race will be restarted in full.
1.2) If the server crash happens in the last 10min of the feature race or last 5min of the sprint race, the race will not be restarted and the results will be taken from the last uninterupted point in the race.
1.3) If the server crash takes place outside the timeframe defined in section M1.1-1.2, the race will be not be restarted and results will be taken from the last uninterupted point in the race, however half points will be issued.
1.4) If a server crash takes place, and the server cannot be resumed in a reasonable timeframe, a decision will be made between the series organisers to decide an outcome. The most likely course of action would be to reschedule any incomplete races to the following week.

N. Common Sense Rule
The common sense rule exists to cover any potential issues which are not covered within the rules in black & white, but common sense says it is unacceptable. If a persons actions are intentionally working against the best interest of the series, then penalties will be given to address this. This rule is intended to cover potential loop-holes from being abused, and it will be used only in this way. We all know what is acceptable and what isnt, so dont expect to get away with something just because it hasnt been wrote down.
If in doubt, get in touch and we'll let you know our feelings on the subject and possibly update the rules if its needs implementing or expanding on, however common sense should tell you whether its okay or not.
