Booking In Information
Booking-in opens 7 days before the round is due to begin, all approved drivers have a guaranteeable place provided they confirm their attendance before the first deadline.
At the first deadline, over 4 days after booking opens, your booking status will be set and any drivers who have not booked in will lose their place in the round and be temporarilly placed on the reserve list.
At this point all unallocated places will become available to drivers on the reserves list, these drivers will receive 24hrs to confirm they can take part in the round, and the available spaces will go to the most suitable candidates to confirm.
Reserves List
The reserves list will be made up of drivers we were unable to include as starting line-up drivers, when starting drivers are unable to attend a race their places will become available to people on the reserves list.
Priority will be given to drivers who have already taken part in the current season, how many points they've picked up, their general pace/ability, and results in previous seasons. This should ensure people who've done well in 1-2 rounds get picked ahead of people who havent raced yet, rather than having a load of people who only get chance to do 1 round because of a random element of selection or a first-come, first-served basis.
With the combination of the booking in system and a well organised reserves list, we should be able to offer a far greater likelyhood of running with a full field while allowing the most suitable reserve drivers the chance of taking part.
Booking In Penalties
Any drivers failing to attend after confirming their participation for a 2nd time will will receive a 15sec penalty on their next race finish, a 3rd failure to attend in a season will result in the driver being placed on the waiting list.
Unable to attend
If you cannot make a race, set your details to 'Unable to attend' and your place can be given to another driver for that race. Missing 3 rounds for any reason will result in the driver automatically being placed on the reserves list also. This rule exists to give other drivers a guaranteeable place.
Email Reminders
The Pro Series website will be sending automated emails to drivers during the season, these come in 4 forms:
1) Booking in Open - 7 days before the round, emails will be sent only to the approved starting drivers. It will contain all the information about the upcoming round, including dates, times, and all session details.
2) 24hr Booking in reminder - At this deadline the starting drivers will receive an email informing them of their status for the race, and remind them to make any changes to this status if circumstances have changed or confirmation hasnt been given yet.
3) Reserves Booking Available - with 2 days till the round begins, the drivers on the reserves list will be emailed to inform them the number of places available in the round, and offer them a chance to put their name down for one of those places.
4) Final line-up announcement - 24hrs before the race, the official line-up for the series will be sent to all drivers who will be taking part or applied to take part.
These emails will be sent to the email address your account specifies. It is the users responsibility to ensure they can receive and act upon any emails sent to them by the series. |
